Actually, I have used that line once. And at the time, it was true. I had a lot going on in my life and really didn't need a boyfriend to add to the mix.

Why wouldn't you believe that?
I've only broken up with one person before using that as an excuse and it was true, that's why I said it.
It sounds like you don't believe a real man can know that he has issues that he needs to deal with and has the balls to say so.
Maybe you like little boys who get in over their head and then cheat on you and then you wonder why?

I've used that one before... it was just an easy way out, because I didn't want to hurt them even more.. I'm not saying it couldn't be valid excuse for someone but in my experience I would never believe it.

hell no, its that line that a person uses only when they are the guilty ones and they don't want you to feel as if its something you did to end the relationship, when in reality they was never interested and something happened that shouldn't have etc. when they start saying that phrase I just walk away or cut them off and say "don't worry about it, I get it"...
