yes, the church is suppose to be there to help those in need.

The length of time you have attended makes no difference. they are there to help.

I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. Yes, I think you should definitely turn to your church for help. After all, that's what they're there for...to help the community and those members in need. Call your church and make an appt. with one of the pastor's or administrators and explain your situation.

Also, there are a lot of non profit organization that can help as well. Try looking some up in your area.

It's a tough time of the year to be struggling financially, but hang in there. This too shall pass. I'll keep you in my prayers! God bless.

The church is there to meet the needs of the people and not to build coffers that are full and running over while that laity suffers. If you are a member in good standing with your church and you have every intention on paying back what you have or will borrow, I see nothing wrong with that. Just be careful not to let everyone know your business, it's between you, the Lord, and the board of Trustees!

I think that it is ok to turn to the church or family for help in time of need ....it doesn't matter how long you have been attending the church...what does matter is that you are doing everything possible to make your situation better before you ask anyone else for help......if you are doing everything that can be done and you have made whatever sacrifices have to be made to get on solid ground and you still need some help ....then ask....Good luck and my prayers are with you...

In churches and banks money is spoken of in hushed tones of voice and worshipped as the all powerful. Churches exist for you to give money to and not get from; banks will loan you money if you can prove you don't need it. It is is piece of paper with a picture of a dead man on it and people selll their souls for it which makes it sort of hard to figure. Maybe if you join the minister's choir and learn to play an instrument you might get some money but don't hold your breath.

The reason why we are part of a church, is to be part of God's family, pray and ask God what you should do, ask some of your brothers and sisiters to pray with you, remember what God said, "Where two or more come together in my name and ask for something, so it shall be done" Keep the Faith!

It is o.k. to turn to the church. But....if you do then you must be willing to follow their ways, methods, and plans to help you out of your finances. You can expect a free gift from them--you have to be willing to do some things that they suggest in order to receive their help.

I hope all goes well!
