Hello, i have purchased a Motorola Razr V3m with Verizon Wireless. It has CDMA technology, I am visiting another country and I wanna take my phone with me so I can use it there, if they "unlock" the phone in that country, will it work?

The question is not whether your phone can be "unlocked", esp since we're talking CDMA. It's more of whether there is CDMA coverage in the country you're going to. VZW says that, in a few select countries, you can roam into another system and get coverage. You'll have to pay int'l roaming charges, but at least you can make and receive calls through your Verizon cell number.

What's more likely is that you'll need to acquire a GSM phone, and that the number you'll use will be different from your Verizon cell number unless you want to rent one of the Global Phones Verizon partners with and pay through the wazoo for it.

When a phone is unlocked it means you can use it on any carrier such as Cingular, Verizon etc. If you aren’t switching carriers and staying with Verizon you shouldn't have a problem depending on their coverage. If you’re in a major city it should work fine. You can also change the network settings on your phone to accommodate your location. For instance if your traveling to Europe their cell phones run on a different frequency and your network settings would have to be change to Europe’s, but that should already be included with the phone most have the network selection on default.
