There is no bar for hearings in Hindu divorce cases. The judgement will be based on the evidences produced by the complainants.
But however, the hon'ble courts try to join them together.

I really don't think it depends on the number of hearings. Usually one of the party do not show up and keep giving valid excuses to the court. I hear that the courts give one year for the couple to see if there is a chance for reconciliation. I heard these things from people who may have heard from other people

For the parties to the divorce minimum hearings the better. For the advocates maximum hearings the better. One can not say how long it may drag on.
