It depends on what you want to do. Do you want to work in a shop - if so, which type - clothes, shoes, furniture etc.? Would you like to work in an office - if so, in what industry - banking/finance etc.? There are lots of things you need to take into consideration - if you have a career path in mind you should pick something suited to that to give you a flavour of what working there full time in a 'proper' job would be like. For example if you wanted to be a PA you can do that anywhere so you might like to think about if you wanted to work in the legal sector, in education and all that. Speak to your parents, friends, careers advisor, basically as many people as you can to help you make your decision and good luck in finding a placement that suits your needs.

Do not treat your work experience fortnight as an excuse to get two weeks off school, it is very important for you. You have to decide what sort of thing you want to do when you leave school, and if possible find some work-experience in that field, it is to give you some idea what it will be like to be at work.Write a letter to a company or shop depending on what you choose, and ask them if they would be interested in having you. It is better to write to them rather than just `cold call` at their place of business, because the boss is very often busy and not able to see you, if he does not expect you.

Then we need to ask what are you into... work experience is pointless unless you go into section of jobs that you are concidering for later life.
