The owner of the car in which Diana, Princess of Wales, died is demanding it is returned to him - so he can sell it as a souvenir. Jean-Francois Musa says he believes he can get more than £1m for the wrecked Mercedes. Mr Musa owns the Etoile Limousine company which rented the car to Diana and Dodi Fayed in August 1997.
He said: "When the crash happened I didn't even think what I could do with the car.

"At first I was thinking it should have been given to Mr al Fayed because his son died in it.

"Then I thought maybe it should be put in a museum. Now I want to sell it. We have been told a lot of people would be ready to pay a fortune for that wreck. It is an exceptional wreck, like the one James Dean died in."

Actually Doorman i totally agree with you about her, always have. But she has 2 innocent children who shouldn't be put through this all the time, as well as the fact that no one should profit from a death, anyones death.

I think the car should be scrapped, I can't imagine how awful selling the car then displaying it would be for her sons. The thing should be completely destroyed.

That is disgusting, how could anyone have such a sick idea? There really are some awful people around.

When you're a victim of a severe road accident (or related to someone who has been, as the princes are), the last thing you want is a constant reminder of what happened.

This guy does not deserve to run a business of any description. What is even worse is that idea that someone might actually be interested in buying it.

The world is full of things that people have died in, from beds to houses. They are sold everyday. If you go to different places they will charge you admission to see the bed that so and so died in. I don't see what the difference is. If I own something and someone else is willing to pay for it, so be it. People are just upset about this because it was recent. How many people have made money off Guy Fawkes? That seems all right just because it was so long ago.

I think that is very wrong to benefit in any way from such a much loved persons death.
The car should be destroyed rather than anybody buying it for commercial reasons and,I think its very sad that Musa is planning to exploit such a tragedy, does he not have any feelings for what William and Harry have had to go through with the death of their mother.

Low, yes. Shocking, not at all. Money has fast become much more valuable to the majority than human life.

Mmmm - difficult one. Put yourself in his position, it's your car and if someone wants to pay £1m how tough would it be to turn it down?

Surely the real low life is the one who's prepared to pay for it?

It is hardly likely to be driven again, so should be crushed beyond recognition, maybe even melted down, before its return.

Sorry Angel but I finally found something I don't agree with you on
I think she was a cheat and an adulterer and a media whore who played us all and doesn't deserve the honour and affection showered upon her. So let him have his car and good luck to him
