This questions extends to the question, what is the maximum lifecycle of a company?

I doubt very much that there is one. A company that is set up, say, to manufacture widgets that no-one wants will collapse as soon as the founders money runs out. However, if you make Coke or Cornflakes and get half the world to buy your product, then you can go on and on.
