If you have a look in the mirror, at the corner of each eye nearest your nose, you should see a tiny hole. That's a drain, to the back of the nose and throat. It's the same place all the tears produced to keep your eyes moist goes, down your throat. Tears are produced by tear glands in the upper eye and wash down over the eye with each blink. Gravity pulls it downwards towards the inside and into the drainpipe.

Tears come from your lacrimal glands located between the nose & eyes. When your eyes well up but you don't shed them, they simply stay in your eyes & help keep your eyes lubricated.
They can also drain into your nose, if there if a lot.

They are absorbed back into the body.
Or, there's a small tube that runs from your eyes to your nose and they drain into your nose, which is why we sniff when we cry, it's the over flow of tears draining off.
