The best way may be the thing that you end up giving up on. Reading. The next time you don't understand a word instead of growing frustrated read the next sentence and see if the word then makes since to you. Whenever you read you will always come across words you dont know but don't give up the whole book because you dont know one word. Just look for context clues.
for example:
lets say you are reading this paragraph from Rett McPherson's Family Skeletons
As resident, geneologist, historian, tour guide, and occasional amateur snoop, Victory "Torie" O'Shea can be found anywhere in the historic German town of New Kassel, Missouri - mixing fudge, giving tours, tracing family trees, and even investigating murder ...
Focus on the word geneologist. Some people may not know what the word means but look further in the sentence and see the context clues and even the definition (context clues : historian, historic ... definition : tracing family trees)!!
See if you just do a little mind play with words you know in a paragraph it will bring a light to those words you dont understand.
Hope this helps.

Its hard to read books if you do not understand the words or have to frequently look up in the dictionary. However keep up the effort. Try picking up books with pictures and get yourself a picture dictionary, there are several to choose from. Try to read an english newspaper everyday and if you can do it aloud, so as to get reading and speaking practise. Don't give up, bear in mind learning a language is an on going porcess, at no time can one claim to know all there is to know about a language.

I'm italian, and I have improved my english by reading comics.
I bought Calvin and Hobbes first, then Garfield. After some of these comics I started reading books from writers who had an easy writing. The best has been Ken Follet (the pillars of the earth) followed by Wilbur Smith (The river god, The seventh scroll).
Good luck!

Reading books is fine, particularly if you are studying but also try to befriend a member of the opposite sex who likes spending a lot of time in your company. (obviously ,English has to be the guy's mother tongue). Some people say that a pillow dictionary is the answer to your problem

Just keep using it as much as you can. You do write very well in English for a person born with another language already. It is not an easy language to learn but you seem to be doing quite well.
