Hi there,

Unfortunately it does sound like you have been infected with a form of malware (most likely an infection called sexphoto):

The best and easiest way to remove this is by installing the Free Trial of Prevx1. This will scan your PC and remove this and any other infections free of charge.

To get rid of pop ups on your computer should be as simple as setting your browser to stop pop ups. I think that your problem runs deeper than that. First you need to stay clear of those kind of sites your are visiting. Adult, peer to peer, wares or shareware and free downloads. You are an easy target when visiting those types of sites and are always vulnerable to pick up some sort of Malware there.

It sound like you have some sort of Malware installed and will need to get yourself a good anti virus program and some sort of spy ware remover.

If you insist on visiting those sites about make sure that you have the best type of anti virus, firewall and spy ware detector installed and you also keep it updated before you visit those types of sites.

You have to get Norton AntiVirus AND Norton Firewall. I never ever get pop-ups and if by some chance one does appear, you can order your firewall to always block anything from the site giving the pop-ups.

I think I used to get that too. I also got this thing that offered to cleanse my PC of viruses and then it started to imitate scanning. Get Norton, I have never had a virus since!

Wild_Flower,
I have a Apple computer and it's very easy. I use Safari for my internet connection, for me I just go to the menu bar at the top of my screen, click on Safari and right there is a chose to block pop-ups. All you have to do is check it and that's it. I don't know anything about PC's, but I'm sure it's similar.

you have to run a virus scan and at the end of the scan click the delete button. if the firewall/security system you have won't get rid of them then you need a better security system for your computer. MacAfee works great.
