I have an opportunity to go there for vacation in January, but I do not know anything about it. Is it a big tourist destination? Fun things for a 20-something travelling by himself to do?

Tagaytay is as close to paradise as one can find. This site is presented in the spirit of sharing this exceptional city and country with as many visitors, both Filipino's and visitors from abroad alike. You'll receive a warm welcome in Tagaytay and You'd be hard pressed to find a more accommodating people than the Filipinos. The brand new Royal Taal Inn, run by a small family of entrepreneurs, offers both the domestic as well as international visitor the least expensive rooms overlooking Taal volcano...

With its cool climate and clean air, Tagaytay City is the perfect place for leisure activities like picnics, horseback riding, camping, great golfing at two championship courses, plus breath taking sightseeing. It makes for an affordable weekend getaway for most Filipino families, if they're astute enough to take advantage of the best bargains in Asia.

Tagaytay is very relaxing place. Its cooler than Manila because it's high ground. You can see more on greens, fresh air, scenery of worlds smallest volcano "Taal Volcano". You can stay in Days hotel, Taal Vista hotel, Tagaytay Country, Estancia resort, Residence Inn. Very good taste of foods especially "Bulalo" - its a popular name of beef soup specialty cooked in Tagaytay. There's honey bee farm, Sonia's garden, horse riding, a breath taking walk on the peak of "Peoples Park in the Sky" etc.

If you like nature, going on hikes and lake sports you will enjoy it. As someone else said it is a family destination. I have been many times and after two or three days I am ready to leave. It is cooler than Manila and the scenery is fantastic. I cannot imagine it being a choice vacation spot for a young person traveling along. There is next to none night life.

I'm near to tagaytay its 30 kilomoters south of manila. It is where the lowest point volcano is located and it is located in the center of the lake Taal. Tagaytay is good, it offers five star restaurants, hotels, casino, and recreational parks. the climate is slightly cooler because it is situated on high altitude.

Tagaytay is boring. The only thing you can do there is stare at a volcano in the middle of a lake.

Go straight to Cebu or Boracay.

Tagaytay is beautiful, but good for one day unless you are stying with friends. If you are only travelling through but are spending a night, go to the g-point bar for a bit of nightlife!

Tagaytay is a nice place for a nature lover. You must try to go to "Highlands", Palace in the Sky.

yes i am from the phils and I've been the there. the place is cool (compared to metro manila) it's situated in luzon. please be careful while travelling there since there are lots of pickpocketers there. check out the website for best hotels. the are a lot of things to do while there especially if you're 20. It's nature tripping.
