Bleaching is a no go. For most skin types the color contrast (as well as light reflection) will give it away.

Hair removal creams, like Nair, may be too concentrated for your skin type- that means *irritation*- and they give the same results as shaving (because you don't remove the hair from the root it gives the impression of growing back darker and faster).

Waxing is the better option, it lasts from 4-6 weeks and the regrowth (there *will * be regrowth) will be a lot subtler than that you would get from creams.
You can buy some wax facial wands for less than $10, these will last you months.

Overall though, your best option is definitely laser hair reduction/ removal. It can be expensive but this is the long term (permanent) solution for you. Especially if you're of lighter skin tone with darker hairs.
It is a very small area to treat so it's usually the cheapest listed price. But, you will need to have several sessions (3-5 weeks in between each).

So wax. Think of all the money you'll save when you don't have to buy bleach or pay the salons anymore!

Best of luck.
:)

If you haven't got much, the best idea is to do nothing.

If you feel you absolutely MUST do something, then the possibiliities are

* getting it out by the roots by plucking, epilating, waxing or threading. Good in that it gets rid of the hair for a while. But moustache hair is hormonally-driven and plucking can actually stimulate growth of hormonally-driven hair.

* burning it off my chemical depilatories which destroy the keratin in the hair. Good because it gets the hair just under skin level. But what destroys hair also damages skin.

* burning it off by laser treatment. Expensive. Can be pretty well permanent if your hair is dark and your skin light and your hormones are in normal range and you get the hair before it's really coarse. But is also liable to damage skin, especially by causing discolouration.

* destroying it by electrolysis. Can be permaent, if your hormones are in normal range. But also likely to cause damage and distortion to skin and some scarring quite possible. Expensive.

* shaving.Totally non-damaging to skin if you use a good men's electric razor. If you really must remove it, this is probably the safest way.

you can but the hair remover wax strip kit at walmart for under $5. the kit will last you probably the year. i get the sally hansen brand, but there are many others to choose from.. its quick and easy. you might find that your upper lip is a little more sensitive, and could be red the first few times. just apply ice and it will help..

A hair removal cream for the face works well. (different brands available). You can get it at Walmart. It only takes like 3 minutes. Waxing hurts.

you could get some cream for it...
theres a hair reduction cream that you can get at places like boots or superdrug that reduce the appearence of hairs. if you use it a while the hairs get thinner and less visible
