All of life in the known Universe is made up of the same basic ingredients. The atoms within you might once have been within a star.

'Cause Twinkles & Super Nova (your mommy & daddy) got a Mr. Wizard science kit one day. They weren't sure what to make with it, so they flew thru the universe, gathering a little of this and a little of that. Once they got home, they dumped everything they had into their PlayDoh Fun Factory and they were able to make something that looks like Chucky (from the movie), but their Chucky was all sparkly and shinny, so they realized they had used stardust in the Fun Factory and they got a sweet little intergalactic dust ball ... you!

Not ... pay attention in school and you'll get farther than you've gotten so far! Take the switch, just behind your left ear and push it up ... it turns your brain on and that might help you too!

One last thing ... take your computer and throw it into the river. That way you won't be able to ask another really stupid question on Yahoo! Answers.

We are made from the same stuff that make up the Earth the stars, the galaxy - everything in the universe. To be not made of stardust is to be not being part of THIS universe.

The Big Bang made three elements - Hydrogen , Helium and Lithium, everything else was made in stars by fusing these together to form heavier elements. Iron and the heavier elements can't be made in normal stars though, it takes too much energy. They're formed when big stars explode as supernovae.

Yes, you are stardust!

Stars like our Sun create Hydrogen, Helium and eventually carbon. More massive stars create elements up to iron. When a massive star dies and explodes into a supernova all the elements more massive than iron are created. This is how heavy elements are found on Earth. Therefore humans and our planet are made of material created in stars and supernovae.
