OK, I don't want a bunch of long mathematical equations. When I'm talking to someone and I need the answer right away I don't have time for all that math stuff. Anybody got any quick away to do it in you head. I don't need exact answers...

The quicky way for conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius:
1. Add 40 to the Fahrenheit Temperature.
2. Multiply this sum by ½.
3. Add 10% [you may omit this step if less accurency will be enough for you]
4. Subtract 40 to obtain the equivalent Celsius temperature.
e.g. Lets convert 32 degrees Fahrenheit to the Celsius equivalent
1. Add ------------------------ 40 32 + 40 = 72
2. Multiply by ½ ------------ ½ x 72 = 36
3. Add 10% 3 -------------- 6 + 3.6 = 39.6
4. Subtract 40 -------------- 39.6 – 40 = - 0.4 degrees Celsius

And vice versa; conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit
1. Add 40 to the Celsius Temperature.
2. Multiply this sum by 2.
3. Subtract 10% [you may omit this step if less accurency will be enough for you]
4. Subtract 40 to obtain the equivalent Fahrenheit temperature.
e.g. Lets convert 100 degrees Celsius, the boiling point of water, to the Fahrenheit equivalent:
1. Add 40 ------------------------ 100 + 40 = 140
2. Multiply by 2 ------------------ 2 x 140 = 280
3. Subtract 10% ---------------- 280 – 28 = 252
4. Subtract 40 ------------------- 252 – 40 = 212 degrees Fahrenheit

It will be good to have these basic equaivalants of two system in yor mind:
C: -40 -17 0 100
F: -40 0 32 212

As you can see almost always Fahrenheit is greater than Celsius equivalant, thats why we mutlriply the number by 2 in C2F conversion, to obtain larger value, and vice versa.

N.B. The question is not close enough to the topic title "Study Abroad", is it?.

Convert Farenheit to Celcius: Celcius = (5/9) * (Farenheit - 32)

Convert Celcius to Farenheit: Farenheit = (9/5) * Celcius + 32

Convert Celcius to kelvin: Kelvin = Celcius + 273

Convert kelvin to Celcius: Celcius = kelvin - 273
