And I woke up at 3am. I have been doing this for the past 6 months.

Actually it depends on how tired you are and how much it bothers you. On the average you need about 8 hours of sleep, some folks can function on 6.
If this is something you want to stop the solution is either easy or complex depending again on the problem. After 6 months you've conditioned yourself to wake up. Now you have to reverse it. When you wake at 3 close your eyes and try to draw a blank, or envision yourself sleeping, usually you get so bored you drop off. Getting up makes it worse, getting on the computer seals the deal.

No, not crazy but maybe a insomniac. You must be on the west coast because its 6:50 here and i know that there is a 3 hours difference.

It's 5:53AM here and I've been awake since 4:30. For the longest I was waking up at 5AM and I couldn't get back to sleep. I don't know what's wrong with us.

I think there's no problem with you.You're fine.Get back to your bed, or if you feel like staying awake do it.Do whatever you wish to.It's OK.

It's 6:50 am here.....Every so often I also wake at 3a.m. and can't fall back to sleep, tired at work later on.
