If it's something very personal, it will mean a lot more. I recommend either making something for her with your own two hands or creating some kind of really memorable event....maybe just a really nice day, dinner at her favorite restaurant, seeing a movie she really wants to see, going shopping together and letting her choose a gift within your price range, or just spending a lot of quality time together. Time with loved ones is the best gift of all; and once it is over, people usually wish they had more of it.

Maybe it is something money cannot buy that she will appreciate the most, since she can afford most things anyway. What about making something for her? Planning something for her? Give her an experience that involves what you mentioned that she likes?

But then again, it could be the thought from you that really counts, so even if you buy her something she likes that she could afford, as long as it shows you have put serious thought in, she would appreciate.

Something that she would never expect or probably buy for herself. Something handmade, maybe by you? Not necessarily what you already know she likes. Even if she can afford anything, if she is your friend she will see the value of a friend that puts much thought into gift giving. It's the thought that counts, right?

Buy her something you can do together like concert tickets....a night out just the girls is priceless...You can't buy a good friendship or the good times that go with it. Or, if you are crafty make her something..it is more personal and will mean alot to her since you put your time and talent into it.

Several years ago my aunt and uncle gave me a mantle clock. I think about them when I see it. I recommend something on that line instead of gift certicates be cause they're not personal.

it's the thought that matters anyway. ask her casually what newbands she's into, find out if she has the CD yet. if she doesn't, beat her to a music store and get it for her (your own money, okay?) :) sound like a good plan?
