No I dont think he is. Theres a story about a lad in Holland who stuck his finger in a leaking dyke (a kind of dam) to prevent it from busting. No idea if it actually happened but its an old story Ive heard a few times

It is a Dutch legend, if you have ever seen a real Dyke then you would see that a finger would not be of much use, a pair of strong fast legs would be more use full.
