All parents lie to their kids once in a while it depends on how big the lie was. Was it small or big like that he is sleeping with someone else. You don't HAVE to do anything but you should do what your heart crossed with logical thinking tells you to the best way is the way of your own. But i advise you think about possible outcomes of your actions before acting on the heart that is where the logical thinking comes into it.

The day you have your first child you turn into a compulsive liar, you lie about EVERYTHING because it's "tradition" eg. Santa, Tooth fairy, Easter Bunny, if you pee in the pool the water will turn black all around you, babies come from storks etc.... You learn to deal with your parents' lying to you from a tender age...

Talk to him... see what his reasons were for lieing, if they aren't satisfactory, explain why you are upset to him and make sure he realizes that you don't like him doing that to you.
