Seriously, I doubt that. Just calm down, if it hurts that bad then go to er. Having stress can delay your period by itself. Try not to worry, you will have your answer soon. Take care.

OK, a little confused about your question.

If you were suspecting that you were pregnant, you wouldn't have a hymen--it would have broken during sex.

It is possible that there could be blockage of fluid from your hymen, but that would have most likely been detected after your first period. I don't think this is possible for you now.

Take ibuprofen in the meantime, and if it becomes unbearable in the next day or two, ask your doc for an emergency appointment.

No offense to anyone on here, but please do not answer medical questions if you do not know what the hell you are talking about. People writing in here are confused enough already and it is obviously detrimental to mislead them, even if your intention is to help or calm them. Answer questions only in your own areas of expertise.

I know that it is possible for a hymen to block menstrual flow, because a gynocologist once told me. Call your gynocologist for an appt asap; you might need to have your hymen surgically perforated, if it is still intact and blocking your menstrual flow.

this is what has happend:

Some teens may develop irregular periods - or stop having periods altogether - as a result of a hormone imbalance. Disorders of the thyroid gland can cause menstrual irregularities if the levels of thyroid hormone in the blood become too low or too high. Some women have irregular periods because their bodies produce too much androgen, which is a hormone that causes increased muscle mass, facial hair, and deepening of the voice in males and the development of pubic hair and increased height in girls. High amounts of androgen can also cause hair growth on the face, chin, chest, and abdomen, and is sometimes associated with excessive weight gain.

Well its quite normal to have lower abdominal pain during periods....Most girls doubt that if they have irregular periods..something is wrong..but actually it is not...the problem can either be due to some hormonal changes or climatic changes or due to some yeast/bacterial infection...No hymen wont block menstrual flow...

what u r supposed to do is:

Masturbate
Clean your vagina with natural content soap(Glycerine or aloe vera soap)
Drink lot of water
Eat vegetable, fruits, etc (plz avoid taking fatty foods)

No its going to be fine. Trust me, i hang out with girls alot and they are all saying you'll be okay. Just relax!!!!

the pain may just be period pain thats a little early as long as you havent had unprotected sex then there is no need to worry at all. your period will come along when its ready......

its not that strange for a period to be delayed a little bit anyway its nature and how your body works. i have has friends who have pannicked over late periods befor and its come along a few days later. you may just be stressed.

peace and god bless ya

No, it cant be blocked. You'll probably be starting soon. Its not unusual to be 3 days late. Take some ibuprofen and wait for it to happen.

If you have your hymen I seriously doubt your preg. stress will throw your cycle off the pains are probably due to you getting ready to start.

no it wont be stopping it from coming out. If you are sexually active and pain s really bad u may be experiencing an ectopic pregnancy...pregnancy in fallopian tube...this pain is meant to be excruciating..so if this sounds posible u should get checked out asap...
