Blacks started out in Africa, where the heat of the sun made it a survival value to have dark skin. The dark skin prevented a lot of the harmful radiation from damaging it; it didn't burn. White people started out later, probably from people who were originally pretty dark, but moved northward steadily and so were selected out by Mother Nature for lighter skin that would let in more heat and help them endure the cold weather.

Ever since Lucy was discovered, it became obvious that we all evolved from origins in Africa. Get over it, white racists; we really are all brothers and sisters, or at least cousins.

The skin colour comes from pigmentation. The more sunlight a person receives the darker their skin is. No one is 100% sure where we all came from. Some say Africa some say Asia. It seems that all human life came from one of these continents and that the further people moved away from the equator, the less sun they received and the lighter they became.

You will notice that the closer to the equator people live, the darker their skin pigment is. It is natural protection from the UV rays of the sun. As you notice, pacific islanders, Africans and Indians have darker skin than Northern european people. As you move away from the equator the skin pigment gets lighter. It is just nature. You will probably find that the Aboriginal tribes of Australia are probably what everyone looked like 20,000 years ago. Dark Skin curly hair with the ability to have Blue eyes as well as brown. Blacks developed Kinky hair and lost the blue eyes, Whites the skin lightened as did the Chinese. We all started to adapt to our environments.

nicely, i'm white, and that i do no longer think of this is racist to have a decision. I (often) decide for White adult males, or jap adult males. and that i'm a sucker for an Indian guy in a uniform! besides the fact that, if, say, a huge black guy with dreads asked me out and that i did no longer fancy him, it may well be by way of fact he, in my opinion, wasn't my form. i might supply him the courtesy of exclaiming that, yet there's no reason he would desire to understand why.
