Because it still works.

Actually your question is utter bullsh*t, for a domestic and internation mailing service i have found them to be largely efficient. Admittedly there are some screw ups... but for christs sake, which companies DONT have some screw ups every now and then...?

If you dont like royal mail, then post all your crap by hand, see how much that costs YOU! compared to the 32p 1st class stamp that can have mail from London to Glasgow in less than 12 hours.

Yes I tend to agree that Royal Mail is, on the whole, pretty good. They've never lost any of my letters (and I've sent a few), are always pretty prompt and it only costs 32p for virtual next day delivery. Not bad considering my car gets about three miles on that much petrol.

Royal Mail also has a nice history to it; antiqated and outmoded has come into fashion recently. And apprantly other countries look to Royal Mail to see how things are done!

I have, on the other hand, had difficulty with couriers; we use one regularly who knocks on the front door, drops the parcel and runs off before you can get there!! :)
