Not that old cartoon classic but i did another one even better.

I stepped into my dads shed not seeing the Rake that was lying on the floor, just like in Tom and Jerry in came up and whacked my in the face.
It bloody hurt and to make things worse there was even a 'Doiiiiiinnngggg' sound, you couldn't have planned it better.

The only saving grace was that nobody saw it happen, with my usual luck it would happened in the middle of BBQ with 30 people watching.

Chances are its a common thing - otherwise it wouldn't be the classic comedy bit it has been for so long.

(I see my local grocery store's people being super-cautious about what produce falls on the floor in the produce department; so I assume produce in general must pose a very real and serious threat to any hapless fool who steps on it.)

I, personally, have never stepped on a banana skin; because in my home if one eats bananas one is expected to make sure the peel gets into the trash.

I haven't, but I've seen someone else slip, fly and fall after stepping on a banana skin.

No, but working as a server there are many opportunities to do so. we make banana splits, so it's nnot uncommon to have a peel laying on the floor that didn't make it into the trash. I have slipped on a tomato and on a piece of sausage though.

I once saw a kid slip on one - it was HILARIOUS and I couldn't stop laughing! If you don't believe they are slippery, try it - you will be amazed at the results!
