What is the best book on mechanical design?

I'm studying in Korea and thinking of mechanical design for my major.What is the best book that cover most of the study for mechanical design.Or can you suggest where I can find info about mechanical design on internet.I need to have a good look about what mechanical design is before picking it to be my major.

This book is EXPENSIVE and worth every penny. I wasted a few hundred dollars on a bunch of other books that did not teach me what I needed to know.
Some of the other books may work well if you are in a class, but if you want to learn on your own, you have to get Mechanical Design, an Integrated approach. It is very easy to read, and it makes the information very accessible, and not hard to keep pace.
