There are two sorts of hedgehog, the European and the African. There is no such thing as a 'pedigree' hedgehog.
You cannot keep European hedgehogs as pets. Its illegal. And they stink. I don't mean they pong a bit, the faeces will stink your house out.
I think you'd need an import license AND an exotic pet license for an African hedgehog. Make sure you know how to feed it before you buy it.

I've heard that gypsies used to cover them in mud, cook them, then eat them.
Sounds absolutely revolting to me but hedgehog farming could be a big business opportunity for someone.
Not too sure about pedigrees though.

Don,t you know anyone that does landscape gardening? They come across hedgehogs. Sorry don,t know any breeders.
