Legalize and tax drugs, of certain types, and use the money for educating our youth. Prohibition didn't work in the 50's, why should it work now?

Prohibition is based on the lies of Harry Anslinger who convinced congress that blacks and mexicans became violent when on pot and raped white women. My shrink asked me the other week if i knew how prohibition ended. i really have an answer so he told me how, "It JUST GRADUALLY WENT AWAY" i think we are at the same position we were then right now. let's all pray it goes away so we can have honest cops and politicions for a change. the police who are members of l.e.a.p, want cops to be respected again and realize how much prohibition has done to corrupt the fellow officers; would you look the other way if there was a million dollars in front of you? i wouldn't. the d.e.a. is the single most corrupt branch of our beaurocracy.. read arnold trebach's book THE GREAT DRUG WAR..

I'm sorry. Were you one of the 1000's of hippies who went to the White House last April 20th and lit up a blunt? The U.S. government will NEVER legalize the most commonly used illegal drugs: marijuana and cocaine. And it will NEVER EVER legalize the use of methampetamines, if you have to ask why about this last one, lay off the pipe for a minute. One reason, people living in the U.S. (and I assume you are from the U.S. since you mention the Prohibition) already have an array of legal drugs to choose from. Vicotin, ritalin, prozac, valium, just to mention the first ones that come to mind, already have so many followers that it makes the effects of a simple joint pale in comparison. Medicinal uses of marijuana? Overstated by tokers with no real medical knowledge and a real hippie wish for their nickle bag to go legal. Tax money from drugs to educate our youth......about what? How to roll one up tight? But you're right, Prohibition didn't work in the 50's, and it's not working today. There is a meth lab in every other farm nowadays, but until he stops using battery acid and cat nip to get people high, your local street pharmaceuthical doesn't stand a chance.
