What movie magazine (if any) do you read and why did you choose to read that over the other ones out there.

For instance, I read Empire because I think it's the best in terms of writing and I always find their reviews to be spot on.

In comparison, I don't like Total Film or Hotdog because I don't think they are better than Empire.

Which do you read?

I think it is called Empire & I read it because my best friend introduced me to it & it is totally amazing. I haven't actually looked @ other magazines of that type though

I read Empire magazine on occasion but the problem with magazines like that is that although they're fun they are also usually quite biased as they are owned by some conglomerate who owns a film company and therefore has the power to say "Promote my films more!"

If you want a truly informative and fair magazine to find out about good movies then you should buy Sight & Sound. It is a magazine that has been going on since around the 50s and is funded by the BFI. It is a truly honest and genuine and more serious magazine that gives good reviews and news about films.

But then again, Empire does have cool pictures and a crossword i guess. :P

I'm the opposite. I used to read Empire but grew bored with the interviews. Total Film has gone down a bit since I started to read it (it had lots more info about independent films in those days) but I still prefer it.

It's not exactly a movie mag but it's got reviews of coming movies and movies already out but I read Blender (I subscribe to it).

This sounds like a plug for Empire to me, do you perhaps work for Empire, are you trying to boost sales, if so, this is quite a good marketing plan, well done you.
