I am working on a Science project, and it has something to deal with batteries lighting up a lightbulb. I just have to know which brand of battery can light a lightbulb the longest. Let's just say give me two brands of batteries and if you know, please tell me which one can light it the longest. Thank you.

Look for the one with the higest maH rating. This stands for Milliamp Hours. This is the potential for the battery to deliver over time. Check out Ray O Vac's web site for starters they have a lot of power use charts and neat stuff. No plug here I just needed to know if their battery charger would hurt my cell phone ,so I checked it out. Then go to other sites.

Lasts "longest"? First you will desire to confirm attempt standards. What load and what voltage will you employ as a decrease-off element? usual batteries are a million.5v consistent with cellular. Nickle Cadmium (NiCd) batteries tend to be a million.2v consistent with cellular. the two varieties of battery have voltages that fall off at diverse costs. we've not even reported Lithium Ion (Li-Ion), NickleMetalHydride (NiMH) or the ever familiar lead/acid battery. you will desire to respond to those issues first.

Many brands have batteries with extra life.

I like energizer over duracell. It seems to last a lot longer. However, both brands are the top two.
