Of a friend or relative not really sick, shock. If they were really sick then sadness and relief that they were no longer in pain.

All depends when my great grandmother past it was sadness. But when it's a friend its shock.

that depends when i lost someone to a long painful battle with cancer, the first thing i felt was relief. i was happy that the suffering was over.

Depends upon my relationship with them. or lack there of.
My uncle died 2 wks. ago & I didn't feel anything.
And I didn't attend the funeral.
I feel remorse.

i only had one relative (that i knew) who died, i couldn't believe it coz she was so young and healthy when she passed away.
