I admit that both penalties were contentious.Chimbonda did make a great tackle and got the ball before he caught Rosicky and it was a hand ball by Van Persie.Having said that on the day I thought Arsenal deserved to win and it certainly wasn't Spurs best performance. They can play much better than that!
By the way I am a football fan who appreciates good football played by any team and not one of those blinkered fans who cannot see any wrong in their own team.Good luck for the rest of the season.

As a Spurs fan I have to say that the Gooners outplayed us. They were better on the day. Yes they got decisions going their way, but as someone else mentioned, these things happen all the time.
A more important issue is that of the referees. I myself am a qualified FA referee and I ref matches way down below the National Leagues. It's more a hobby than anything, but I don't have to deal with the professional cheating that goes on in the modern game. Let's be honest, if the players themselves weren't cheating and more honest then the referees jobs would be easier. So to blame them for not being able to spot a split second challenge or handball is unfair. They are only human. Either we re-educate the players (highly unlikely) or we bring in instant replays for a 4th official.
Also, higher penalties imposed on players if they've been discovered after the match to have cheated or played unsportingly. An example would be to penalise someone based upon their salary rather than a fixed amount. To fine Thierry Henry, for example, £10,000 for an infringement is meaningless as he earns that in one morning, but do the same for a Watford sub (for example) it could easily be a week or two's salary.
Better to fine them a week's wage and ban for x number of matches.
I agree that this isn't really the best way to go, but if players insist (and managers condone) on winning at all costs then they are condemming the beautiful game.
Just my 2 pence...

Be honest if it was the other way around you would accept it. It happens week in week out in football, it's almost part of the game now. Most players look for free kicks and penalties nowadays.

Quit whining at least there was some contact, when we played you (Pompey) Mendes didnt even touch zokora, and it was quite possibly the worst dive seen this season so shut up. You were played off the park anyway and it happens week in week out.
