Just for today could we reach out to someone we maybe usually wouldn't even to just say hello? we never know what is going on in someone's life at any given moment and just a hi can be encouragement to someone reaching the end of their rope it may just give them the strength to tie a knot and hang on.
"For all have a great and wonderful day may you have peace and happiness in your life and heart?

you don't even have to get into a conversation i have noticed people standing in line at the store looking sad or frustrated I just catch their eye and smile 99% of the time they smile back ant they seem to pick their head up it can be someone at your job, school anyplace, for the person with about honesty I understand that but I asked for today is there noone anyplace you can say a kind word to or give a smile instead of a frown. Look my life sucks a lot in some ways right now but I still insist on being friendly or kind because if not I will be down there with the rest my head so low I will topple over

I want to say hello to you because you are very kind, compassionate and thoughtful.

I also wish you peace and happiness in your life.

I wish there were more people like you in the world. You make the world a better place.

Take care and all the best (you really deserve it).

Well I for one normally always say Hello and smile at people, and it's amazing at how many acknowledge and smile back even when u know they are not feeling good etc..
The downside is some take it as a come on ,then thinking they can start to come on to you, so now I only smile at certain ppl sad but true..
Plus when travelling on public transport I always seem to get those odd ones who sit next to you then talk incessantly about nothing that makes sense, maybe I have a face that acts like a magnet to these ppl...so sometimes it's best not to always smile..♥

Your intentions are good. I'm sure of that. But I ride buses a lot, and have occasion to be in the presence of a rather marginal group of people as a result, both as bus riders and as people who hang around the bus station because they have nowhere else to go.

It is very often the case that if you express any interest whatsoever in such a person, they will not leave you alone until you are very explicitly rude to them. This is uncomfortable for all involved, including the bus driver or security people who must sometimes intervene.

It is a very sad fact that in the modern world, we basically cannot afford to express our concern for the unfortunate in such a personal way.

This is a great question and I try to live by doing what you suggest every day. I have a slip of a newspaper clipping tucked into my wallet that says, "Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of fight." I have MS, and I hate when people look away from me, I try to smile and start a conversation, but I guess some people equal a wheelchair with a person not worth their while. I hope everyone takes your suggestion!!

I think that smile goes along way, as you say no-one knows what is going on in someone's life and a smile is all it takes to make that person feel worth while again. not only that it also puts you on a flow of contentment knowing you may have helped someone other than yourself.

Funny you should ask this - I only just put up a question on here with the details bit telling men everywhere that I think they're great. Don't you think men are under-appreciated? And they're too proud to say it hurts.
