It will stop you from getting stomach cramps and aid water retention,so you do not need medical attention when the temperature hits 40 degrees Celsius during summer in Oz.It is advisable to take salt tablets in extreme heat conditions or when sweating profusely.
Despite what some so called experts say,a salt free diet in hot places can and does kill people.Low salt only works for people who do not ever work or play hard enough to sweat.

I'm not so sure about B, I thought it led to a decrease in blood volume. A and E are correct. A.) sodium is the major determinant of extracellular fluid and too much sodium causes hyperosmolality. Water shifts out of the cells, which leads to cellular dehydration. Increased rates of aldosterone secretion are found when dietary sodium is severely limited, so E) is also correct. It's been awhile since I took A&P though!
