About every month all of my history disappears, not only from the I.E list but also from my recent documents, this has only been happening for about 3 months now, so have I clicked something with out knowing or is it another Microsoft download that is controling my computer ? How can I stop it please ?

Click on "Tools" -> "Internet option" -> On "History" set the number of the day that you want to keep the pages.

Click Tools->Internet options->in the IE toolbar
select for how many days once ur history has to be cleared...

on the internet explorer browser menu bar
tools > internet options
look for the box "history"
adjust the days

well I think that you have been using some other software or tweaks like tweak XP and other softwares
Search you computer for such softwares and uninstall them
Type gedit.msc in run and manipulate what you want from there!!!

could be a virus, run a virus scan
