I was told to buy a house in hawaii cost about a million dollars. I really dont think that is right so could anybody tell me the truth please thanks :)

A million dollars! Wheeew, that'll get you a pretty sweet house. No, you don't have to spend that much for a house in Hawaii. Of course the cost will vary depending on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms you want, the size of your lot, your amenities (pool, spa, etc.), and your location, but the median home price on the Big Island of Hawaii is $370,000, the median home price for O'ahu is $610,000, and the median home price on Kaua'i is $590,000 (all of these are islands in the state of Hawai'i). So, of course you can get a house for under a million bucks.

10 points to shortbusryders! He has it nailed! The five places he listed do, in fact, offer "affordable" priced homes. The west side of the island is quickly developing into the next real estate boom much the same way Ewa Beach in the south did 20 years ago.

i live in waikiki,honolulu, just was passing/looking at 2 ugly paint peeling 2 bed houses 350,000 and 450,000 ,average studio rent 900,00 ,average 3 to 4 bedroom is 650,000 and up many million and up homes with location here,prices went though the roof last 3 years and the funny thing is half is lease hold .you dont own it,

well i was looking up houses and they are probably around 300,000 to 1,000,000. they might be a little less depending on the area.
