If I click links I get an annoying beep and my sounds are turned off
plus I have to right clink to another page to complete the link transfer .I can't find anything with norton or micro soft to shut this annoying feature down

that happened to me too. its so annoying. but i was able to turn off the sounds through the start/control panel/sounds and devices. its got something to do with anti-virus software that doesnt allow access to some links.

Start,Control panel,sounds and audio devices,click the sounds tab.There you can add and remove those bings and bongs.There just a sound put in for you to notice you either made connection or alerts,so put in or take out.Check out the option of sounds you may want to change some others.
