Im 7 and half weeks pregnant (could be more, not had scan yet and unsure on dates)
On friday i had a very slight tinge of pink discharge.
Saturday brown discharge
Sunday a lot of light pink blood
Today red blood
Theres only a wipes worth on the tissue first thing in the morning and it fades throughout the day.
Waiting for the doctor to ring me back at the mo to see if he can get me in for a scan asap.
I had implantation bleeding with my 3rd baby for 2 days and she was born perfectly healthy
Im having no cramps apart from the normal pregnancy cramps you get at the begining.
Very worried this time as the bleeding is getting slightly worse each day and is going on for longer than my 3rd child.

Ah Bless you all. I'll deffinately let you all know what happens. The blood test seems like a good idea to me, but will the doctor at hospital do it as well, after/before the scan?

Been for my scan. Im not as far gone as i thought i were. I'm 5 and a half weeks, so they werent able to see a heartbeat just yet, but they did say that the sac is lovely and clear, no blood in it at all. They said everything looks as though its progressing lovely, i have another scan in 10 days to check the heartbeat, but all is good so far! they think the bleeding could be coming from my cervix, which wont cause a problem with the baby. But they did say that a lot of women have bleeding for reasons they can never explain. Thank you so much to you all for your advice and comfort, xxxxxxxx

Hope everything is going ok. Keep resting and don't get stressed out, a little mediation should help. The calmer you can stay, the better.
It does sound like you're having a period rather than the beginning of a miscarriage - I've had one and the bleeding was very heavy from the start.
Please post how you get on, pregnancy is difficult enough at the best of times and you need all the support you can get from any source!
Good Luck and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Hi. I had pretty 'normal' periods for the first 5 months of my pregnancy, so not all bleeding is the end of the world. You've done the right thing calling the doctor. In the meantime, put your feet up, have a cup of tea and try to relax, it's the best thing you can do.
I hope everything works out, we'll be thinking of you.

I Have just had a miscarage a few days ago i was 6 weeks and what your describing happened to me I went to the hospital and they took blood tests and i had to go back 48 hrs later where they repeted the blood test and thats when they told me i lost my baby as my hormone level was really low and the test came back negative for my first try in having a baby this really hit me. Your doctor may refer you to a early assesment unit where they will do some tests. Hope everything goes alright for you.

try not to worry to much, alot of woman bleed during Early pregnancy and more than 50% carry on to have a normal pregnancy and if you have no pain that's a good sign. good luck hope every thing is ok for you.

You may want to say forget the scan and just go to the ER and have them do a test to check your Quant. levels. I wish you nothing but the best of luck.

I too have had similar symptoms. (i'm currently 17 1/2 weeks pregnant)
I got worried as well with all the bleeding I've been having. MY midwives have reasured me "IF your BLEEDING and BAD CRAMPS< probably a miscarrage. " If you have one OR the other. QUITE NORMAL.
BUT I too needed ultrasounds to verify.
HOPE all shows well

YOU SHOULD JUST GO TO THE HOSPITAL, AND NOT WAIT FOR THE DOCTOR, THEY WILL GIVE YOU A SCAN AND BLOOD TEST STRAIGHT AWAY. GOOD LUCK.
