It's funny how a such a simple question can be so difficult to answer. All my childhood memories are bad. Let's see what I can come up with. tic tic tic.
Finally found one. The happiest times were when we visited my grandfather in Napa California. We went once a year. What a beautiful place.

"Graduating" from sixth grade, and looking forward, with some apprehension and some relish, to junior high school. It still seemed that all things were possible then...maybe the last time this was so, before the tribulations of adolescence and the disillusionments of teenage life set in.
