Very good question. I do not think Florida would have passed Michigan. I think in the Coaches Poll if USC would have won they might have let Jim Tressel vote. He was not allowed to.

Slight mod to Brian's answer... Tressel was allowed to vote. He CHOSE not to, because if he would have voted for the team that ended up not playing against Ohio St for the championship, he didnt want to anger the team who did get voted as #2...
