Obviously more money in teaching, but is it always about the money?! Which should i go for as my chosen career in life?

Both The Careers Are On The Opposite Sides, No Link Between Them,
Barmaid = No Take Home Assignments, No After School Tutions, No Correcting Answer Papers, No Annoying Children.
Teacher = No Living Off Tips, No Late Nights, No Wating Tables, & Lastly No Handling Drunk Customers...
You Decide...

Anything is better than teaching. I've done a lot of jobs - including ones that involve getting bled on and thrown up on, bring you into contact with junkies, working nights, violence etc. But teaching was by far the worst of the lot. Unless you're the sort of person who knows that teaching will be massively rewarding for them on that one day that some little gobshite finally stops referring to you as "****" - or whatever little goal you've set him/ her, then teaching is not the job for you. The social responsibility, paperwork, preperation time, political correctness, lack of support, pressure of expectation and general delinquency of the brats is just not worth it - and wouldn't be if it payed twice the price it does.

Am a teacher. Rewarding moments but also a lot of annoyance.
Stress like in many other jobs. Pay not overwhelming!
Don't choose for the money, choose according to your feeling

I know a lot of teachers,nurses etc. who have part time work as barmaids.So why not do both?
Don't work in the same area/suburb you are employed as a teacher as people just love to gossip.Not just women from my experience.Somehow teachers and nurses are expected to be "nice girls".
Its weird how different occupations are perceived by different types of people ,the minority ,thank goodness.
Good luck in what ever you do and where ever it leads you!

Teacher...Barmaid is something you do for a while. Managing a bar is not a job, its a way of life!!!!

Teaching is more rewarding. I'd rather deal with brats than alchy's any day, I've done both and enjoyed teaching much more.

do what you enjoy the most and what makes you happy. have been doing bar work for 5 years and i love it. i could do something else if i wanted but why when i enjoy what i do so much
