My Headphone's Mic is not working. But it is working in another computer where i checked. what may be the problem?

Select the Volume controller from your system tray. If it is not present, then select Start-> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Volume Controller.

Remove the checkbox in Microphone option.

I think that would work.

Click that little speaker icon on the toolbar on the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
You will get the volume control window.
Select "Options" and in Options select Properties
Put a tick in the box next to Microphone.
Click OK
Now you will have a Microphone volume control in the Volume control window.
Click Options once more, Select Advanced control.
You will now see a button named Advanced under the Microphone Volume control.
Click on it.
It should open and show you a Mic Boost option.
Select it.
Your Mic should work now.
And make sure you have plugged the Mic plug (Red/Pink) into the same colour socket.The same goes for the Green plug which is for the headphones.

check by first clicking" Start There check if microphone volume is not set in mute option.
Sometime by default microphone option is hidden, so check properties in volume contol

if it works in other computre the mit be problem wit the drivers or sound care point so plz cheak in system properties hardware.

you have problem with your sound output configuration.
if you have on board sound , may be it is not set correctly.
set it to default settings.
if problem still remains, you have ot change your sound card.
