uhh... if it was bitten by something with rabies, then yea, it probably has rabies. If you got it from a petstore and it's been inside a cage all it's life... I mean, ALL IT'S LIFE (no getting lost outside), then it's unlikely. If it was a wild hamster... then there's a chance

The most common cause of "unexplained death" in hamsters is because they ate rubber or plastic toys, and tiny pieces became lodged in their digestive tracts.
If a hamster bites a child, then dies, the doctor would do an autopsy on the animal BEFORE beginning expensive, painful treatment on a child. Rabies is detectable immediately in an autopsy.

I don't know much about hamsters but if your wondering cus of your health cus I saw you ask already another question on rabbies you should go to the Dr and get checked. No need for you to be worrying when you can go to the Dr.

Best to buy em from a reputable pet shop and they are already treated. If you bred em from an old pair of yours you better bring em to your vet.
