The gift of multitasking. It's really that simple. I've been known to sit on the computer, feed my son, talk on the phone with my best friend and pay bills. When a man focuses on something he give 100% to it and can't then concentrate on anything else. That's the beauty of marriage, you need to learn these things and understand how your partner operates.

Your making a blanket statement. However, when I make eye contact with the person I am speaking with it is to demonstrate that I respect and value their point of view or the information they are providing me.
And honestly...we men can actually run a fax machine and work on a computer while still establishing eye contact....perhaps women simply lack that skill.

It is rude to be discussing something seriously and not make eye contact. You can judge someones reaction to what you are saying and pick up on body language if you have their full attention. It's also courtesy and much more professional.

It is a matter of respect. I feel that if the person that I am talking to is not looking at me , they are just not interested in what I have to say.

If you don't feel like looking, don't look. I tend to be casual about eye contact, but not everybody is.

i din't think this is a gender thing per se... i think it's a matter of what you are doing at the time, and how important the information being exchanged is.
"well, how is so-and-so, i head she's redesigning her kitchen, oh yeah my son's choir class, oh and yes i think she has dyed her hair...." probably wouldn't require as much eye contact as "Where are your TPS reports?"

Because guyes are more serious in talking and they talk with their mind whereas gals talks with their mind somewhere else and they tend to forget all. Still they are more talkative but without mind.

Because we want to convince the person we talk to that what we've said is true and you must assume what we've said is all right.

Man to man - eye contact can be threatening.
Man to woman - they are looking at your breasts.
