You sound like you have a medical condition called Amenorrhea. Women with this condition sometimes only menstruate once a year. You may also have Endometriosis which is very painful. You need to see a doctor to make sure everything is all right. A lot of pain can sometimes be corrected with pills containing hormones, but a doctor should verify this. Don't let this go on without seeing one! Go to your family doctor & get a reference to a "gynecologist". He or she can help you.

i usually have really bad cramps on my period too. it is different for every woman. if your pain is that bad, talk to your doctor, he/she might prescribe you some drugs that can help you. what usually helps me is lying down with a hot water bottle and watch a movie or read a book to distract myself a little from the pain. what also helps a lot, is doing sports. i really had to push myself though, because when youre in pain, why should you wanna go for a run or anything else? but just try to go outside (maybe to a nice park) and go for a walk over there. then you can still try to either walk fast or jog a little. or just do whatever sport you like, even swimming is no problem if you use tampons and change them regularly

If they are getting worse, (cramps) I would get checked. Are you on birth control? If so and still getting worse for sure get checked. You could have cysts, fibroids or endometriosis. It takes time to get diagnosed for endometriosis but is quite common.
I am 30 years old going on 31 and since i was 17 my cramps and bleeding got worse, the cramping got so bad I would throw up and almost pass out. Break out in cold sweats and I couldn't walk. Well I was taking birth control pills because I was told it would help. I took them considering they made me feel AWFUL! Sex became painful, and I just got worse. Finally I talked to my GYN and asked for surgery to be done. He did a Laparoscopy and found moderate to severe Endometriosis. The sooner this is found the better. This can cause infertility.
If you ever have any doubt about anything you are feeling there is a reason. It took 7 years for them to find out I had this. Now I am reaping the consequences.
Please go get checked,
I'd like to know what they find if anything...

i would see a doctor just to make sure there isn't anything wrong but to me it sounds like it could be either endemetriosis or polycystic ovary syndrome, both would cause irregular periods and painful cramps. i'm not a doctor so go there and ask for a scan. good luck
