It just seems like every other highly intelligent man I read about was gay- is it just me?

The gay guys that I am friends with are what I'd call above average intelligence, but that's because I don't like hanging around with idiots. LOL
The estimate I have heard for years is that 10% of the population is homosexual. I'd be willing to bet that the 10% is split the same way as the other 90. Some really smart, some really dumb, and a lot that are somewhere in the middle.

I don't think there is a higher rate of homosexuality amonst the highly intelligent. I don't consider gay men to more 'intelligent' than other people. Gays are probably more sensitive, but not necessarily more intelligent. You are probably confusing, intelligence with sensitivity.

Its weird, but gay men, according to statistical analysis, are often wealthier and slightly more intelligent, but I've met some gay men that were poor and not very smart. There are a lot of intelligent straight guys too, and as heterosexuality is the "norm" there are more intelligent straight men, based on a purely statistical method alone. The current estimate is that only 3% of the population is homosexual, so 97% of intelligent men would be heterosexual.

I think its just you!
What I have noticed is a higher rate of homosexuality in people who have little to no values or morals as a result of a poor upbringing.
Men like Elton John, George Michael, all the clothes designers etc, who say's theyre intelligent? Cant even figure out what goes where!!!

No but there is a higher rate of intelligence amoung homosexuals!
We don't fit in so we read and develope deep interests and artful talents I guess.

first, there's nothing wrong with homosexuality.
second, yeah it's just you.
third, there is a high rate of high intelligence among homosexual beings and that's not surprising.

I don't' think it's related to intelligence. It sure seems to be related to decorating and fashion, though, and many of the decorative and fine arts.
