The internet is the pickup spot for this generation. I don't personally know anyone who met a significant other at a bar. If you don't meet someone through friends, school or work then the internet is a viable alternative. Since many people use MySpace to keep in touch with friends and relatives, people are more likely to represent themselves honestly on MySpace than on a personals site where they want to present themselves in a positive light.

If you're going to meet people online with the intention of forming a relationship, my suggestion is to MEET THEM once you establish a mutual interest. If you think there may be a connection, meet them in person. People can easily misrepresent themselves online and you don't want to fall for an illusion of who they are. They may be sweet online but short-tempered in person, any number of things may be inaccurate. As long as you're both honest and you enjoy each other's company in person, how you met has little impact on your chances for a successful relationship.

If it is a question of possibilities, yes. 1 in 1000000 is still a possibility right? I got a friend and she and her boyfriend met in myspace. Not to mention they are from the opposite sides of the world. So yeah, there is a possibility, but I suggest that you don't make myspace your only option.

i don't know but it seems like everyone has a damn page. i meet people in my area and my page says i am in a relationship. this doesn't seem to stop people. just put up a really good picture of yourself, put some funny posts up sometimes and people will find you irresistable. btw i met some really cool friends off of online dating sites other than myspace so its definitely possible to meet cool people off the internet. especially since everyone uses it these days. its not just for freaks and nerds anymore.

Yes, but not remember not everyone is what they say they are.

If you're going to meet in real life, then always do so in a public space like a cafe or a theatre, where there are lots of people around and you can get away if you need to.

Good luck!

anything is possible...you just have to be careful about people online. a lot of them lie about who they are. on the other hand, I've met quite a few people who've met their special someone online and through the classifieds in the paper. I met my current partner on planetout.com, and my previous partner in a chat room (which didn't work out since it was long distance...and a few other reasons I won't bore you with!). We've been together over 2 1/2 years, and living together over 2 years.

Hi Gay, I'm Yggdrasil.

My Space is mostly whores, but they are someone's soul mate too...I guess you should decide if your soul mate is a whore.

Otherwise, try the real world. That is where souls really live.
