married. She said, "I'd worry I wouldn't get on with their wives". I would have thought she'd be delighted for them to marry, as it's an extension of family. Does anyone know why she might have said such a thing?

Also, she treats my mom like a queen, but treats me not as nice.

sounds like she could get jealous. she needs to get out more and experience new things and learn that people move on!

She's obviously close to her brothers and this can cause insecurity when another person comes into the equation. She will feel that her brothers will have less time for her which is true , so she will convince herself that her sister-in-laws are not nice people. If you want to help her make her aware of this now before her brothers get married.

Because husbands have a tendancy to back up their wives and if she didn't get on with them then she fears that rather than gain a "sister" she'd be losing a brother.
