World record best selling album artist unbroken for about two decades, model dancer for most upcoming young artists; yet most unpopular celebrity in the US. This is a confusing situation to be recorded into the books of pop history. How will he be presented in the history books for the children of tomorrow?

He should be considered a hero! He has helped so many people with all the charities he's supported but most people would rather believe a couple of gold diggers and try to cancel out all the good he has done for the world! He gave up his childhood to make us happy for god's sake and that's the ultimate sacrifice!! Can you imagine how many people would be dead if it wasn't for his help!?!

Well he certainly was a hero to plenty of people around the world.I remember when i was growing up all my friends loved what he was doing. (thriller, billy jean all that jazz) Not to mention their parents, all of our mums loved him, i mean LOVED him. scary i know, but he was without question a hero, now however, he's a misfit.. NO QUESTION! Funny how things change.

He will always be remembered in history as a ground breaking recording artist, dancer, entertainer. Changing the way music would be seen, not only heard.
Unfortunately other performances and achievements will be remembered as well.
The children of tomorrow may well only remember him for what may or may not have happened with children of yesterday.

Micheal would have to be THE prime example of being a victim of their own success. i can't help but think the isolation he endured as a result of his fame in his childhood and adolescence, has completely screwed with his sense of reality. it just seems that now he's trying to make up for what he's missed.

He will always be seen as a petafile because the stigma is attached. Is he guilty? Maybe... probably. Is his music and performance good? You bet, but we live in a judgemental society, so history is going to forget his good points.

I see him as a guy that made it big, got rich and got board. When you can have any woman on the planet, it might get old. I'm certainly not defending his little boy fetish, and in fact if he is guilty, he needs to be locked up. I just think too much money and power changes people and they lose sight of where to draw the line.

He was a great talent, and had it all. What he did was...flipped.

After the album "bad", all started to go downhill. He`s songs started to be simple sounded and full of idiotic groaning. He started to act weirder the years went by. Bleachings, surgeries, young boys, amusement parks, lousy music, weird family arrangements, stupid ghost/hat-trick dances, genuine creativity was totally gone...

I used to be his fan as early as 1984, but now I cant stand eaven the sight of his picture in the net, not to mention his new music. Sometimes i listen to his early music, but not so often that It would make me as a fan these days.

He will leave as a basic warning example for the future generations to come.

He's talented, but he's creepy and weird. I don't look at him as a hero, and I would never want my children being told this guy is a hero. I have to go with definite misfit.

He cant possibly be considered a hero.... and for what? Misfit is closer to the truth but unfortunately what he is, is a tragic and pathetic soul. I do feel sorry for him. He has a major piece missing and is miserably sad.

I think hes damaged his name past the point of repair, wont be remembered for the music, only for the court cases, child molestation accusations and extremely abnormal behaviour!

neither... just a guy who got himself in trouble, as happens to all of us, in different ways.

surely, we shouldn't be including pop singers in our history books. aren't there better topics to teach our kids than about entertainment icons?

One thing is for sure my kid will not be reading a book where Jacko will be presented as a hero.
In my books he is 100% misfit
