DAVE JM, think I can manage that for you and Coco!
All I ask in return is for you to construct the rather complicated looking keyboard and electronic drum kit, Santa is bringing for El's!! It's gonna be a very noisy one this year!! I myself shall cook a fantastic Xmas dinner and watch E & K ripping open their pressies!!!

Hello,

I'm an Atheist & xmas means nothing to me at all. Its a total pain in the posterior and I'm extremely gald when its over for another year (then I can forget about it once again).

Its VERY weird, to see otherwise sane people behaving like headless chickens & feel pressured into spend money on a load of non sense. Stuff that will have little ability to make them feel any happier, & people even get into debit for the privilage of doing this. Its just cultural madness another sign most people are loosing the plot frankly. Xmas is completely irrational and makes no sense to me at all.

**Most people have become totally disconnected from the real and ancient reasons people made some kind of celebrations at this time of the year. It was to draw close your family & clan members around the hearth and to witness the light, heat & flames of the fire in the times of winter darkness. To celebrate and give thanks that you survived another year, it was a time for story telling, music making & sharing the benefits of your hearvest with others, a way of being in harmony & balance with the natural cycle of nature. But we've forgotten these traditions it would seem for the most part.

Christmas for me as a Christian is about the birth of the Saviour Jesus Christ, but also about spending time with family- Christmas will be my first stay at home since moving to university in September.
I normally open the presents in the morning, followed by a big party dinner in the afternoon with all the availible family members. Then the family settles down in the evening to watch a film or the TV before going to bed v. early (I don't sleep well on Christmas Eve).

Christmas puts me in a great mood. The music, the decorations, the atmosphere. The smell of turkey, pine, sweet spices and a roaring log fire. The movies, especially a Christmas Carol or anything inspired by this story.

I've been listening to Christmas music since the last week of November and will have my decorations up before the weekend.
I love to buy presents too, even more than the giving or receiving.

Christmas to me since christmas 1997 which was a bad year moneywise for my family since we had just moved to cornwall at the time it makes me appreciate the greatfulness of being greatful for what we recieve , there is one gift from that year i have in my wardrobe and wear every year to make me remember and remind me of people that dont have a christmas, a jumper hand crafted and given to me by my father.

This year, however will be a very diffrent Christmas, as i am due to have a baby on boxing day my Girls are thrilled because they think santa is going to deliver them a new baby brother or sister so this year is going to be extra special

Christmas, to me is truly about the togetherness and celebration of the birth of Christ. For those reasons, Christmas begins on the 24th, or the day that my family celebrates the Feast of the Seven Fishes. We gather and have a meatless meal as purification and enjoy each others company by sharing laughter, stories, and creating memories.

It doesn't mean alot to me because I'm not a christian but I do get together with my family, open presents and watch Christmas movies. This time of year has become so materialistic that people forget the true meaning of Christmas- to celebrate the birth of Christ, meet your loved ones and pray for peace on earth.

I'll be at home celebrating with my wife and little boy, but what means the most to me is children and their happiness, I doesn't bother me if I don't get another present ever, what I love to see is the joy on children's faces.

My son has just started understanding about Christmas and is looking forward to playing a shepherd in the pre-scool nativity with his friends and singing his songs on stage.

I also like to see the kids down the street with their new bikes or new remote control cars.

Where do you start with the whole mindless Cr^p........Expense! Overindulgence! Stress! Noise! Putting up with people who are overbearing and talk about Christmas and the season of goodwill to all men.Pish

Celebrating the Messiah!?! More like celebrating global corporations at your expense. Ohh and Santa doesn't exist.LOL!!!
