I was in a shack with a corrugated tin roof in the Himalayas, when the whole building started to rattle and sway. Instinctively, myself and others, ran out into an open field until it subsided, and felt safe to re-enter again...
To this day, I truly believe that my feet came off the ground, and I flew...

Quite a few, actually. I was in Los Angeles for the '72 Sylmar quake and the '87 Whittier quake. I lived in San Francisco near the Marina during the bit '89 "world series" quake. I've been through nearly a hundred 4.0 - 5.0 quakes, in California, the Philippines, Japan, and China.
Fortunately I've never been injured other that being cut by some broken glass...and I am kinda used to them by now :)

Yes I have. The biggest I have ever experienced was 6,8 quake. I also have experienced smaller quakes (4-5 on Richter scale), but the 6,8 was the most terrifying. I was a long time ago though (in 1990).

I lived in Southern California for many years. I made it through a few earthquakes, but no damage was done to property or me.

Several - the big ones are terrifying. If you ever are in one, the most important thing to remember is to get under something solid like a heavy table or desk.

Yes - 2001 in Seattle. It was my first and only serious one (many little baby ones here and there) and it was very, very scary. I was at work and had no idea what was happening at home; was worried sick about my cat.
