Children can be legally forced to endure repeated slaps to their body, but to do the same thing to an adult is considered assualt. Why is this?

If its not YOUR child, you can expect to be charged for assault. Its simple because it is legal to slap someone if they consent and the legal age of .consent is 18. Thefore if 1+1=2 then it is legal to spank a child if you are the legal guardian for that child. Unless you choose not to consent to you slapping your child. In which case, you should check yourself into a mental facility. Or release your guardianship.

If you dont quite follow that..
you give consent on behalf of your child to spank them.

One is called discipline or punishment and is done by the childs parents.......and one is called assault. Unless an adult wants or pays to be spanked lol.

Apparently in Australia its illegal to slap your child in public, I dont know how true this is!

adults do know better than to make mistakes i guess, and little kids need to be taught. and somehow spanking is a good way to teach kids, haha (:
