You're still young, you're still growing, and as a part of growth, you heal faster. That's part of the good news.

The bad news is that it will take awhile for your stretch marks to go away. When I was about your age, I had an outrageous growth spurt and I got stretch marks on my shoulders and all around my midsection below the belly button. I wasn't overweight, but my skin eventually grew to fit me properly and the stretch marks went away on their own after about a year or so.

When I went to college, I put on a lot of weight and got stretch marks. While they were still that purpley-red, I started working out and lost the weight over the next year. I used Vitamin E and Clearasil (that's what a dermatologist recommended) on the stretch marks every night. After losing the weight and starting with the Vitamin E and Clearasil, they went away about 2 years later. But I'll be honest, I didn't keep up with the Clearasil and Vitamin E as much as I should have. So, they might have gone away faster if I'd done it every morning and evening. Also, the Vitamin E was not in a lotion. I used to break open the Vitamin E liqui-caps and used the concentrated liquid as a lotion. It's greasy, but it worked well. (It also worked great on acne.)

Finally, I put on some weight after college and stayed heavy for the next 8 years. The stretch marks changed color from that purpley-red to a flesh tone. They're less noticable, but you can still see them.

All in all, once they turn to a flesh color, they'll never go away. Since you're young, you can lose the weight and they should go away. Honestly, they may not go away completely, but they'll be almost completely unnoticable if you lose the weight and let your skin firm up again.

I know it's a tough thing to deal with at your age and I wish you the best! And hey, as you get older, things like that tend to mean a lot less to both you and the people you'll date.

Good luck!

Rub in lotion with Vitamin E and aloe vera...this will soften the stretch marks so it will be less noticable.
Remember this is NOT an overnight procedure, it will take some time for your body absorbe the vitamin E and aloe vera.

Live with it -- you're stuck. I have some, and have neither had significant weight change nor borne children -- although I have fathered a couple.
